The two-story store, constructed in 1969, is located at the heart of campus in the Student Union and serves the entire App State Community, as well as campus guests.
Jenkins • Peer’s design immerses users in a space that celebrates the culture of App State by reflecting the school’s unique brand and majestic high-country setting. To re-engage the strengths of the space such as the atrium, rotunda, and large floor-to-floor heights, the design team chose to focus on optimizing the user experience by creating merchandise zones for easy and enjoyable navigation as well as an exciting two-story feature wall that displays equipment commonly used for outdoor activities in the region, alongside the App State logo.
