Wireman Residence Hall is one of the largest structures on the Queens campus. J•PA’s design for the four-story, 92,000-sf residence hall synthesizes Queens’ existing architectural elements to keep the large structure in scale with the intimate campus environment. Jenkins Peer worked with the Residence Life staff to develop a program that met the needs of the given student population. The result is a residence hall that responds to the needs of Queens’ growing student population while maintaining a direct stylistic and physical dialog with the older historical buildings on the Residential Quad.
